Charges Of Nepotistically Enhanced Deal-Making Are Categorically Ambivalized!
I'm tired of waiting for someone to ask how I got to be the Chief Elf, so I'm just gonna tell ya.
I married into the job... my wife has some Elvish heritage in her jeans. Mrs. Chief Elf (a.k.a. Princess Alatáriël) has some ancestors from "a very distant place," and she is, in fact, an heiress. As her consort, I get many benefits, including, after extensive negotiations, the exclusive trading rights on Earth with The Intergalactic Union of Elves.
By the way, my two daughters, Princess Promise and Princess Rebecca, contributed some suggestions to Piers Anthony, which he used in his hilarious Xanth series book, "Cube Route". Unlike the historical stories you find on this blog, Piers' stories are just fiction. At any rate, Piers is a very clever fellow, and he reckoned that Promise was already an Elvish enough name, but he gave Rebecca the name "Remember." And the Elvish versions for Promise and Remember are Nápoldë and Sára. I'll tell you more about them, and my sons Haldamir and Elessar, at a later date...

Ah heck... A little nepotism never hurt anyone. No one has ever asked me how I got to be the King of Pohick. http://pohick.blogspot.com/
I used to think Nepotism was that ice cream that comes in 3 flavors, but that turned out to be wrong.
BTW, the Elves are interested in a trading-treaty with the Kingdom of Pohick.
People trying to make comments who have blogger are having trouble.
I like the name "Promise" for a little girl... it's full of such optimism! However, I have a little girl of my own and I know from experience that it's simply the word most often used when she's trying to bargain with me!
Hi Here from Dr. John's Fortress. A cool blog you have here. Elves are awesome and so are little fairies. =O)
By the way, thanks to Dr. John for the heads up that signing in with my Blogger account wouldn't allow me to comment (had to use the "Other" option instead).
i think you choosed the perfect day to answer such mystery. Dr. John send in an army of scientists and historians to look into it..place put on some tea..
I feel like Dr. John sent us to a foreign land. I'll have to come back again to learn the language.
Dr. John sent me, I never would have found you mysElf...
I think this my fourth time trying to comment. I came from Dr John's kingdom where I got some aid so I will try. At Dr John's we have dragons and white rabbits but no elfs yet.
My transition from Dr. John's Kingdom into the land of elves has left me somewhat disoriented. Let me clarify: you mean neopotism isn't the name of the three colored icecream? That's what went wrong at Baskin Robin's yesterday. They kept trying to sell me the little guy in the back who was washing the dishes.
Promise is a great name! dr john sent me.
Nepotism seems 2 B the word for this week! I don't think I have ever seen this word so often as I have in the last 7 days!
Dr.John finds some clever sites!
